Crystal clever

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

I just spied this over at HD Inspirations Blog and felt the need to on share the cleverness:  Real crystal decanters used  as pendant lighting at the Conquine Bar in London.

Just goes to show pretty much anything can be made into an awesome light fitting!

When the lights go out

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Where ever you live on the planet earth, at 8.30pm this Saturday it is Earth Hour.

So in preparation for an hour with the lights out, its candle time! What be more appropriate than this gorgeousie light globe candle from Queen B candles!

(Oh, and And just so you know it is even more perfect as its a non toxic emitting candle made from beeswax not paraffin like most other candles available – loving the Queen B candles!)

And the teacup candles are a bit special too!

I want me some!

Moving on and slacking off.

Its been very quiet here at Designalogue Blog of late. Ive been quite preoccupied with end of year clienty things as well as packing up and moving house and office.

So I’m taking a quick break – ok, I’m slacking off, from hauling boxes from one place to another as I need me a quick look at some pretty!

These super cute ‘tea lights’ from Melbourne artist Gregory Bonasera will do the trick!

I think these tea cup lights are super cute and I love the idea of using Nana’s precious tea cups as a chandy! I’m hoping to use them in a project coming up in the new year – so we will see!

More info on Gregory Bonasera here.

Well, back to shuffling boxes for me! I will be back and posting soon from my fabulous new office!

A little light on the subject

I think I might start petitioning my landlord to install a swimming pool in my back garden – purely so I can have these uber cool floating lights by Spanish groovies Metalarte.

I don’t think that would be extravagant or over the top in the slightest!!!?!

Bleu Nature

I am loving the new lighting collection of French company Bleu Nature.

Their use of ‘un-tamed’ materials such as driftwood and petrified wood create such beautiful and unique furniture and lighting.
