I need a big boat and OOOoooodles of money -stat!

Can you help?

In case you need a little more information before you open your wallet, I guess I can elaborate…

Its for ALL this:

and then also this:

And this too:

Pleeeeeeaaaaaasssseee?

So you may ask why? or even how this can be?

20th century props is closing down and all of the above is in need of a new home – So why not mine?

I’m sure I could make over 120,000 square feet of props, antiques and unique items ranging from the Ancient to futuristic all work in my 3 bedroom inner city house!

If you wont pony up the cash for the lot, then at least let me have these goodies:

A lion cage -think of it as a play den for Trevurr the cat.

A space ship cock pit for the fella.

And this for me:

The Austin Powers pod. I think it would be the perfect spot for a secret nap!

If you wont let me have any of that, then the least you could do is let have this:

And the reason for that, should be quite self explanatory….

So, whose in then?

When the lights go out

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Where ever you live on the planet earth, at 8.30pm this Saturday it is Earth Hour.

So in preparation for an hour with the lights out, its candle time! What be more appropriate than this gorgeousie light globe candle from Queen B candles!

(Oh, and And just so you know it is even more perfect as its a non toxic emitting candle made from beeswax not paraffin like most other candles available – loving the Queen B candles!)

And the teacup candles are a bit special too!

I want me some!

And remember sweet fella- I love you!!

Psst – for the rest of you out there in the blogosphere-I’d really appreciate some help!!! If you comment about how fab they are – would really help me out!

And No its NOT manipulating, its educating!!!

A worthy obsession?

Thursday, November 20th, 2008

I am a little obsessed with these lacquered numbers! I want them SO bad and I am in the early stages of hatching a plan to get my hands on em!!

I have NO idea what the quality is like – and if in fact they ARE worthy of my obsession - but its a wooden box, its red , its lacquered = the odds look good!!

The problem is, they are from Crate and Barrel – a store we don’t have that store here in Australia so getting my hands on them will be a lil trixty and take a bit of sweet talking on my part! The current exchange rate isn’t in my favor – so is it even worth it? Its a risk to take when its only one studio pic I have seen.  Are they worthy of my love?

I really only even know of Crate and Barrel through the blogosphere and by it featuring once in an episode of ‘Friends’: Rachel had bought a coffee table and was pretending to Phoebe that she bought it from a flea market. OH I’m sure you can imagine the hilarity that followed! (um – recently watched re runs!!)

A girl can dream…

Sunday, October 26th, 2008

So It has been decided.

The ‘fella’, trevur the cat and I are packing up stumps and moving house.

Don’t know where too yet, but we have had enough of our idiot landlord and so we are moving on – Oh, and I mean that with with NO respect to him whatsoever!

So before I look for the ‘reality’ home that I will soon have to do – which will not be any fun at all and no interest at all to you folk, I am putting together my dream ‘wish list’ for the new pad!

So in my dream wish list, I have me enough space to switchyroo the furniture around as per my whim.

And as its my dream, I’m able to change sofas as per the season.

This fabulous kinda number will be my sofa for the cooler snugly months:

And then this sofa will do me for the hotter months:

OR,

I could just have a massive loungey area like this one: and have summer/spring on one side of the room, and winter/Autumn on the other!

Hmm, I like it!

Both the ‘fella’ and I work from home. A lill office like this one would allow me to spread all my sample mess just fine.

(minus the panton chairs – just aint my thing!)

(cant remember where this one came from – had in my files a while!)

And  fella can have a man study office thingy  like this: -just insert a few computer screens and bits of nerdy  technology  and I’m sure he would be happy!

I wouldn’t say no to a groovy little nook perfect for perusing of mags and a newspaper!

And ideally would have yet another reading spot again for the fella to read all his nerdy computer books and what not!!

I wouldn’t hate it if the bathroom was like this – complete with the high-dive photo et all.

But maybe the bath could be more like this:

A dressing room is simply a must!

This one would be alright,

But THIS would be more ideal:

And goes without saying, a light box in the garden by the lap pool to pretty it up at day and night!

Ahh, this fantasy life sure is a nice place to be.

Its a shame the reality is quite a different story….

Get me one, get me one…

Monday, September 29th, 2008

I’m excited! I want one, I gotta get me one! (Yes,I know, more consumerism on my part -but hey! it might help stop a global recession – are YOU doing YOUR part?!!!!!)

A sun shade umbrella for the garden by day, and a kooky lamp like light by night! How brilliant, simple and brilliant!

And the best thing is – its solar powered with flexible solar cells on the cover of the parasol which collect energy from the sun during the day.

Come sun down, it knows what its time for, and makes the transition to night light all on its own - just like a mechanical flower!

Genius! I LOVE it!

More information on clever Sun Shade designer Lianne Van Genugten here. (check out the little filmy thing -so clever!)
